Bigger Than Life

is a fabric collage. It all started when I was commissioned to create a memorial piece for a family who had lost a loved one. This work was created from his shirts, the ones he would wear during holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Birthdays and anniversaries. His wife told me that he worked at the Empire State building all his career as a construction worker and that it was very important to her to have that be the focal point. I hope you can appreciate this work because its not only an expression of love and remembrance but a new way to keep his memory alive.
